Crowds begin to gather in front of key American landmarks: the White House and Ground Zero in New York City. The air is jubilant, almost like a party atmosphere, especially in the United States. Congratulatory message and tweets began whirling around cyberspace.    Sober yet triumphant statements are issued by US President Barack Obama.
