Disclosure Day:’ Are UFOs, UAPs and Alien Invasions Real?

Strange spacecraft, flying saucers, little green men and  reptilian-like creatures. What do these things have in common?  They are part of the growing phenomenon of unusual beings and technology appearing on planet Earth. The documented sightings are becoming more and more frequent.  Steven Spielberg produced a movie called ‘Disclosure Day,’ so that which was seen by few will be revealed to many. And public interest in this subject has gone through the roof. Stephen Turnham makes the following observations: Ignoring the subject and hoping it is fiction and will go away is no longer a choice, because the reports are too numerous. Individuals and groups have reported and filmed close encounters of the fourth and fifth kind, while social media is awash with videos and interviews.   (SOURCE - STEPHEN TURNHAM. Trouble in Iran: It’s Different This Time

At the time of writing this article, there is an uprising against the clerical regime in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is getting little attention from the international media. This is because the regime has closed down the internet, so the Iranian people cannot communicate with the outside world. In other words, it’s a complete media blackout. Iran is one of the great civilisational countries of world history. Today, it is one of the leading nations of the Middle East. It is a leader in the Islamic revolution and known for its anti-Western policies and practices, especially against the United States and Israel. It is considered the leading state sponsor of terrorism. While uprisings are not new to Iran - the last one was in 2022 - This one could go further and faster in toppling the government than the previous times. And if it doesn’t fall this time, it could pave the way for a change of regime the next time. Normally, the regime pushes back ruthlessly, and hundreds of proteste...

45/47: Will Trump 2.0 Be Different from 1.0?

The 2024 United States presidential election is over, and the President-elect has a unique vantage point: He is also an ex-president. This is only the second time in US history that a man served two non-consecutive terms (the other was Grover Cleveland, 22nd and 24th President 1885-1889; 1893-1897).   The winner, Donald Trump, is in a class of his own. Colourful and controversial, a ‘street fighter in a suit,’ few people are neutral when he is the topic of conversation. It is important to ask the question: Will a second Trump administration be markedly different from the first? This article will offer some reflections. The road to obscurity: It has been said that Trump’s reelection is the greatest political comeback in American history. It is hard to argue against this point. Four years ago, Trump was heading into the political wilderness. Though he had some stunning successes in his first term, like a roaring economy, appointing a third of US Supreme Court justices, and four Middl...

2020 US Presidential Election: Some Spiritual Reflections

The United States votes every four years in the presidential elections. Campaigns are becoming increasingly longer and frightfully more costly. Once the voting ceases, however, the country normally knows who’s the winner within hours. But this is the year 2020 and nothing has been normal. We have had the most serious pandemic since the Spanish flu a century earlier. Countries went into lockdown, affecting the citizenry and the economy. Australia has had its first recession in 30 years. Then there were the American riots and continued social unrest. And when November 3rd passed, in stead of having the issue resolved, as of this writing, we have a contested election that is heading for the courts. Yet there is a recent historic precedent: 20 years ago the 2000 Presidential Election between Vice-President Al Gore and Governor George W. Bush also went to the courts. Even though Bush was immediately called the winner, America had to wait 6 weeks to see who the next President would be. ...

The Middle East: An Outbreak of Peace

It is the biggest news for peace in over 25 years! Especially in a region where peace is in short supply. Two Gulf Arab countries, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain, agree to to sign a peace treaty and normalise relations with Israel. The accords were signed at the White House on 15 September 2020. Of the 21 Arab nation-states, the UAE and Bahrain are the third and fourth countries after Egypt and Jordan to make peace with the Jewish State. The last time this happened was in 1994 when Bill Clinton was US President. There is an expectation that other Arab countries will follow the UAE and Bahrain’s lead. The agreement, brokered by the administration of US President Donald Trump, is called the ‘Abraham Accords’ as a sign of the mutual interest that Israeli Jews and Muslim Arabs have in common with the Biblical patriarch. On 31 August the first-ever direct air flight was conducted from Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital. Status Quo in Danger The Abraham Accord...

PART 03: Evangelical Christians and Donald Trump

This is the third part of a series regarding American Evangelicals and Donald Trump. This is the voting bloc that made possible his unlikely 2016 election win for the American presidency. While most evangelicals support him, there is a vocal minority who do not - the magazine Christianity Today is one of them. Are they being principled and Biblical or are they judgemental and drifting to the left? In addition, it is important to understand the bigger picture, which transcends Donald Trump. Trump’s Spiritual Journey Donald Trump has been on a fascinating journey: from billionaire businessman, to reality TV show host, to President of the United States. Yes, there has been personal scandal in his previous life like adultery, but that is not the entire story. After all, Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery (John 8) and the woman at the well with 5 husbands and living in a de facto relationship (John 4). At some point in his life, he reached out to evangelic...

2019 What Lies Ahead? Elections Aplenty

ELECTIONS APLENTY 2019 is the year for elections. Even the 2020 US Presidential election has become. What lies ahead? 2020 US Presidential Campaign: Other countries continue to stand aghast at how lengthy, and expensive US presidential campaigns are. The upcoming election will be in far way November 2020, and already the gun has sounded and the runners have taken off. If the Democrats can’t remove Trump from office via impeachment, they are hoping to do so at the ballot box. The field of declared contenders for the Democratic Party nomination is already crowded and more and more are ‘mulling over’ a run for the White House. Chances are, the number of Democrats running for President in 2020 will exceed the 17 Republicans who campaigned for their party’s nomination in 2016. Already, more women are declared candidates than ever before. How will President Trump fare? His approval rating at the moment is 44% versus 57% negative. Ronald Reagan was 33% approval rating at ...
