It is as if we are living in a tumble clothes dryer that is in its final spin mode. Universities across the Western world have been battlefields with pro-Hamas protestors challenging their schools or, in some cases, taking over them. At Columbia University in New York City, there was a police pushback. The impression is that the upheaval has less to do with the Middle East conflict and more to do with a leftist revolution.   In addition, there is inflation, runaway government spending, serious wars in Ukraine and Israel, and a decided change in the world order. Now that you know God has called you, where do you go from here? How do you respond to His call in a practical way? We began to address these questions in Part 04 of this series. Using Romans 12:1-2 as our guide, we learned that our motivation to respond to God was because of His great mercies. Our bodies are to be presented to God and used as a ‘living sacrifice.’ In addition, our minds are surrendered to God for renewal, which will keep us from thinking, acting, and speaking like the world. More on this in a moment. Here are some other points to make you effective in responding to God’s call: 1.        Forget the world : We need to learn how to turn our backs on the world. This phrase ‘the world’ can be misunderstood. We are not talking about planet earth, with the beautiful trees, plants, waterways, terrain, and skies. GOD’S PEACE PROCESS - PART 04 Offended No More Peace is so wonderful because it is so rare. Even in the relatively prosperous western world, many people live troubled, disturbed lives. Often, the problem is not conflict on the outside, but turmoil within. The only solution is God’s peace process. So far, we have learned the following steps to God’s peace process: 1.         Pre-requisite to peace : Make a decision not allow your heart to be troubled or afraid, because Jesus is sending His peace to you (John 14:27). 2.         Peace established: When you say ‘Yes’ to the gospel, you have reconciliation and peace with God (Romans 5:1); 3.         Protective, prevailing peace: God’s peace is like the body guard that keeps your heart and mind safe in Christ (Philippians 4:6-7).
